Malacca Noon – Jonker Walk

By paikia On December 3, 2009 Under Malaysia, Photography, Travel

The weather in those two days changed pretty fast. It was still sunny when we came out of the Heritage Museum and just a while it started to rain.

Took a photo of the quiet street. The streets of the Malacca old town are narrow. Most of the streets at the town area are one way.

The weather was so hot that has forced us to enter Puri Hotel for the air con. The hotel was cool and well decorated for the coming Christmas. The atmosphere really not bad, we should have booked the hotel here! But this hotel didn’t have many bedrooms and was long ago fully booked.

The week after next, my girlfriend and her friends will be visiting Malacca and they have booked this hotel. I wish I could join them, I don’t mind visiting Malacca so intensively.

Marshall took a photo for five of us from the 2nd storey. We altogether brought four DSLRs and one compact camera. Marshall was using Sony, Johnson and me were Canon DSLR, Elfred was Nikon.

On the way back to check in our hotel, the long queue on the road for the chicken rice ball! During the noon, the traffic in the town was getting worse.

We checked in Aldy Hotel around 1 pm. The hotel was located right bottom of the St Paul Hill and painted in red. The hotel should be one of the safest places in Malacca, because the police station was right next to it. We booked 1 family suite and 1 superior room. The room was spacious, clean and the toilet was nice. I have nothing much to complain about it.

While waiting the rest for lunch, EngChin and I relaxing sitting on the chair watching Astro cartoon channel – Wall-E.
