Google Desktop Search

google desktop search

Google not only search the net, but also wanna search your desktop! Yesterday, i tried out the beta version of google desktop search. It searches quite fast than the xp build in searcher. After I installed the software, the program will then index your hard drive when the pc idle.

It searches the files, email, web history and aol chat history. It’s a little weird when come to searching, because you still use your browser to search thru your localhost ip 127.0.0.1:4664. Your privacy is safe, google surely promise your details won’t leak to the outside world, if not, who still dare to use?

Pretty cool to see this. But I seldom do any searching on my desktop, so I will still uninstall it.
