TweetDeck Opens Link Problem With Firefox 3.6.6
Recently Firefox has been pushing new release update for 3.6.6, it is good to see software makers frequently patching their software. But at the mean time, I have noticed my favorite desktop twitter client Tweetdeck is giving me new issue on opening links.
Whenever clicking the links on Tweetdeck, the entire app just halted there waiting for response. It looks exactly like a breakdown app. Only after when the link has successfully opened in Firefox, Tweetdeck will then response back to normal again. This is annoying, because one link would take up 30~60 seconds to open.
After Googling, some suggested the problem lies on Firefox rather than Tweetdeck. I believe so, because when I set my default browser to Google Chrome, TweetDeck is working fine!
Here is my simple solution.
Install a Firefox addon called Memory Fox ( Firefox Addon Link ). After installing the add on, as usual restart the Firefox, then activate the Memory Fox Addon and voila. Not sure what exactly Memory Fox has done, but it magically reduces the Firefox memory usage.
