Introduce Nendoroid 09: Haruhi Suzumiya

posted 18 December ,2009 @00:23

I bought this Suzumiya Haruhi Nendoroid from internet. This is my first Nendoroid. I think I get addicted back to action figurines since the AFA09.

Nendoroid (ねんどろいど?) is a brand of small plastic figures, created by the Japanese Good Smile Company Nendoroid figures are usually replicas of an anime or manga character and are commonly used as collectors items or toys. They are roughly 10 cm (4 in) in height, depending on the character they were made to look like. Normally they are made in a chibi or super deformed style, with a large head and smaller body to make them look cute. Their faces and body parts are movable and interchangeable, giving them a range of different expressions, postures and items to hold.

Quoted from wikipedia

It was difficult to get it because it is an “old” model and start selling around in 2007. She is 09, now Nendoroid runs until 91. Ever since the manufacturer GoodSmile Company has discontinued this model, most of the online stores had run out of stock. When I saw this available in an online store, I immediately bought this last piece up.

Hope she can live along with my Asahina Mikuru.

Malacca Trip @ Cheng Hoon Teng & Masjid Kampung Kling

posted 16 December ,2009 @21:06

Forgive me for the slow update speed. I’m too busy with so many things lately, from my work, new startups, course training, CES projects etc.

Return back to that time, after we had Satay Celup, we then went back to Jonker Street again to visit two of the famous temples in Malacca, Masjid Kampung Kling and Cheng Hoon Teng.

Masjid Kampung Kling was built in 1748. It was more than 250 years old. It is one of the oldest mosques in Malaysia. One thing unique about the mosque is that it was built on square plan. So that is very different from the mosques we saw nowadays.

BBQ Night @Austin Heights

posted 13 December ,2009 @19:57

We organized a small BBQ at Austin Heights last night. We started the planning on last Monday, when we were still in Monday blue. On Thursday, we then last minutes announced on Facebook as an event.

Thanks EngChin’s Mom and nanny for helping us to prepare the fried Bee Hun and marinate the chicken wings. We had the Bee Hun while waiting for the charcoal to ready.

Google has this advertising agency behind brilliantly created an interesting 4 minutes short advertisement video of Google Chrome Features. It looks definitely like a Common Craft explaining things in Plain English video; however they took a step further by conveying the message with motion and without any dialog.

These guys are talented, but … they should use it on the right path. What their parents will think about, after knowing that they have been spending their time on rehearsing on this.

Good try.
