Like what most of the iPhone users have faced, the battery woes didn’t get fixed on iOS5.0.1. It is common to have iPhone being charged at least once a day.
At some point, I’m considering to get a battery case, instead of trying to squeeze little more power juice out of my iPhone by disabling 90% of the push notifications. I also give up that thoughts of getting some unknown China brand battery case, after aware of the China built quality.
Thanks to Amazon, here the Top 6 battery casings that worth to get.
Among most the of the battery case, this is the thinnest and the lightest one. It weights only 2 ounces and with only 9.6mm thickness. It is almost 5 – 8mm thinner than most of the battery case in the market.
What others say about it:
The Incipio Offgrid caught my eye because of how thin it is… for $45 I think its a steal… retail at $70. This case is just wonderful, battery charges my phone from 10% to about 75% which is great for only $45. It has a sleek design which i like. I bought this for my verizon iPhone 4, the edges are very close by the ringer switch but it does not interfere at all. headphone jack is recessed a lot ,but doesn’t bother me, my bose headphone fit the jack, and i bought a thin 3.5 M-M audio cable from scoshe, which does not fit btw, so i ordered an adapter. This case is great over all, definitely recommend!!
Recently, I get a new company laptop, a Macbook Pro. I have been using my old Macbook White for almost 3 years. But one weird scenario is that, the Macbook Pro will make a few seconds noises whenever I boot it up or awake it from sleep.
I thought it is a normal thing until further investigation, I then realize the noise came from the optical disc drive. On Apple support site, there are actually articles mentioned about this symptom.
Here is the resolution:
Insert a CD or DVD almost all the way into the drive.
Remove the disc.
Insert the disc fully into the optical disc drive.
The optical drive is now reset and the noise should no longer be present when you start up or wake the computer.
The article stated that for Macbook Pro Mid 2009 version, but till now, obviously I’m getting it for my Macbook Pro 2010 version.
SolarFocus has announced their new solar battery product – SolarKindle. This product is specially tailored for Amazon Kindle. It is the world’s first solar powered ebook reader cover.
This reminds me of the commercial that claimed Kindle eink is the best reading device under the sun than iPad because of the anti glance properties. Now Kindle users have one more reason having their device along with them at the beach.
The capacity of SolarKindle is 1,500mAh SolarKindle comes with a built in LED light that can run for 50 hours without using any of Kindle’s battery.
Finally, there is a firmed launch date for PS Vita in Singapore. It will be 22 February 2012, Wednesday. The launch date is identical to Europe and USA. However at the moment, Sony only promises that it will be a WIFI version at the price of SGD$399.
They didn’t further comment about the 3G version. I guess they are still sorting out with telco maybe Singtel or Starhub to work out the data plans for consumers. Besides the game console, accompany with it will be 27 English game titles available at the official launch.
I have compiled a price comparing of PS Vita around the world.
In the past, when I was still working as a civil engineer, building a typical storey would take around 2 weeks time. But now I guess China rewrites the new history by building 30-storeys in merely 15 days.
What’s more? They claimed the building can withstand earthquake up to magnitude of 9! Wow.
They are using modular construction technique that the house is built ready at offsite in the factory. When only transported over to the construction site for joinning. So it sounds like LEGO.
Right after we get our brand new mobile phones, first thing most people will do is immediately get a screen protector. But applying screen protector sometimes is a hassle. I bet a lot people faces the screen protector off-alignment issue as I do.
Finally here is a solution to solve this – PureGear’s PureTek Roll-On Screen Protector Kit. PureGear patented error-free application tray makes the prefect alignment. It is basically a tray that fits your iPhone 4/4S, you can place your iPhone on it, then by applying constant force on the scroller to scroll the screen protector on to your iPhone.
My words might not enough to describe this amazing product, check out the youtube video below.
This kit besides helping you avoiding the misalignment, it also has self-healing technology to prevent bubbles, just give it 48 hours, the bubbles will disappear itself right after you applying it.
