Swype vs iPhone: New technology to boost your text input speed
Swype isn’t a mobile phone but it is a new text input method for touch screen mobile phone. Although iPhone and Google Android have been going a great job on screen touch pad, the speed however still not that fast and easier than keyboard.
So Swype currently will launch on Samsung Omnia II and on Android next year.
This company Swype said their patented technology able to increase mobile phone users input speed to over 50 words per minutes.
A short video speed on explaining, how the whole gesture works.
So using Swype, you will be 15 words behind of traditional PC Keyboard. But I think there are still other factors that will affect the performance of Swype. Such as if I apply screen protector on my phone, will that affect the smoothness of the screen and the accuracy?
So, really wish this technology not only can be found on Windows Mobile and Android. Hope Apple can adopt this technology if it really proves to be that good.
