How to Remove iPhone PandaDaemon

By On August 8, 2010 Under Apple

A friend of mine in China recommended an iPhone PC suite 91 hanphone assistant(91手机助手) which he claimed worth to install. However, after trying, I feel the functionality provided by iTunes and Cydia/Rock App is sufficient. Plus, this piece of software didn’t give me any clues and control of what is installing on my iPhone.

It looks like it is messing my iPhone than really help out with useful features. This really freaks me out, so I decide to uninstall it. Even though I have uninstalled the 91 iPhone PC Suite, it still leaves the Daemon (PandaDaemon) and app on my iPhone.

Here are the 2 steps users need to manually uninstall.

  1. Access your iPhone using WinSCP
  2. Remove all this following:
  • /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/NetDragon.Mobile.iPhone.PandaDaemon.plist
  • /private/var/mobile/Library/NetDragon
  • /private/var/mobile/Library/TQServer
  • /private/var/root/Media/ndDaemon
  • /private/var/root/Media/PXL/DB/NetDragon.Mobile.iPhone.PandaDaemon.plist
  • /private/var/stash/Applications/PandaDaemon.app
  • /usr/bin/InstallerOpt
  • /usr/bin/CaptureApp
  • /usr/bin/TQServer

If any of you have anything you’d like to add, please contribute by commenting below. Thanks!

Have you remove the rest? Maybe try to delete TQserver after removing the rest.

Is this the same as 91.com. I have on my 3gs 5.0.1 a 91.com icon which I cannot get rid of.
        1. Delete icon. It just comes back.
        2. Cannot see TQserver

I have found this in “/private/var/mobile/Library/LibHide/hidden.plist”

Hidden NetDragon_91_PC_Suite I have found no other references to this icon.

    Awesome, thank you.

had the exact same problem as killman, simply restart the phone after deleting all the files. DONT open the app after doing all that work.

app will disappear after the restart. = )
