Singapore, 26 November 2008 – Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) announced that it is the first operator in Singapore to offer a location tracker service to consumers. The new service called Locator provides users with peace of mind when, for example, they are away from their elderly family members or young charges.
The service is available to SingTel’s postpaid customers at $5.35/month (inclusive of GST).
新电信Singtel推出的用户追踪服务似乎有点怪怪的。这次只需要每个月$5.35，你就能享用这个追踪服务来追踪你关心或者不信任的人的位置了。只需要拨打*3463就能在支持WAP手机上得到信息了。当然，与此同时为了保护被追踪人士的隐私，他们也能随时拨号*3463来允许或者阻止对方的追踪。
这样的服务，也许真的对年幼和年长的人士，或者极可能成为绑架目标的人有用。不然，情侣也能使用这一招来追踪另一半是否出现在不该出现的地方，而方便抓奸之类的用途吧。不然正常人应该不会那么变态想让别人知道他们的地点吧。
