日本政府宣布，计划开发一台世界上速度最快的超级计算机，其性能将达到现有世界记录保持者－－IBM Blue Gene/L的73倍。

日本该计划总耗资8亿美元，将在2010年完成，每秒能够进行10 Quadrillion（1000的五次方）此运算，其主要用途将为模拟银河系资料以及人体/药物反应。

与日本的新超级计算机相比，处理器速度“仅为”136.8TFLOPS的IBM Blue Gene/L就如同一个掌上计算器。

目前的73倍！会不会太多了吧！

Got the new Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music sound card @simlim for sgd$229! Really expensive! But I have been 5 years din’t change my sound card already. It’s time to throw away my Creative Vibra 128, one of the ancient sound card on earth. I only hope my 5-year-old altec lansing 2.1 speaker din’t bring down the quality too much. Else, maybe I need to change it also. heehee..

Ubisoft has released a playable demo of King Kong, giving you the chance to try out the game based on the forthcoming Peter Jackson directed remake of the movie King Kong.

Peter Jackson’s King Kong is developed by Ubisoft Monreal studio and the French team responsible for Beyond Good & Evil. It will be released worldwide on all platforms at the beginning of the holiday season in conjunction with the December 14, 2005 theatrical release of the movie.

Personally haven’t tried out this game yet, but from my past experience of those movies games, I think better don’t put so much hope on it.

Google launches their new beta services of Google Reader. It allows users to subscribe RSS feeds. The interface is pretty simple, like the gmail design. The current beta stage, it seems to be a little buggy, some of the RSS feed urls couldn’t be added into. But I think Google surely will fix this out as soons as possible.

After trying out it, I will still stick to my original RSS reader, klipfolio 3.0. I hope Google can release a software version instead to view it on web pages.

这个网站YouTube.com不错，有点像flickr，但是他们是提供了上载video的空间。也很方便把上载了的video放进网页里，主要是用flash来播放的。而flickr不久后也应该会枪着一块肉。毕竟它们再photo sharing的市场搞得还不错呢。

最近的google video也是用flash播放的，这样用户不用太多的video plug in。至今，google video还在最初的阶段，只能让用户搜寻video，我想整合以后应该也会像youtube提供方便blog上载及放进自己的网页里。
