Maxtor said on Monday that it would bring to the market hard drives with half a terabyte capacities in the third quarter of this year. The company says that the new drives would feature “significant improvements” in security and performance. The new 500GB SATA and ATA 133 drives would run at a speed of 7,200 RPM.

I would give Flickr 5 out of 5 stars if only the full feature is free of charge. The upload software is easy to use, just drag it and upload. The free account comes with some limitations: only allow 200 photos, upload limit 20mb per month and 3 photosets. The photosets is for users to catergorize photos into albums, but only 3 really not enough for normal users. :ponder_tb:. I also find out why Flickr so popular, because it belongs to yahoo. Oh, I think soon or later, google will also provide similar services.

Meanwhile, I also abandon my previous photo gallery software i used- Gallery (doesn’t the name too general?), since the software system is slightly complicated. Just a simple php photo display is what I really need. :smile_ee:

Am I outdated? How come suddenly so many other blogs using Flickr services? Flickr build up their reputation by allowing photo hosting on their server. While, mostly blogger providers don’t allow bloggers to upload pictures.But doesn’t similar kind of service already exist long ago in the market?

Anyway, just try to set up an account on flickr.com. The wordpress picture upload system really not so user-friendly at all. Maybe I should shift out all the gallery photo on my site to flickr.:smile_ee:
