My local ISP - Starhub offering new online plan again. Maxonline Ultimate comes with 25 Mbps download and 1Mbps upload speed. But the monthly fee is sgd122. Really wish the price can drop more. hm.. These few days my msn messenger keep dropping out, I wondering is it an artifice to encourage existing users to upgrade their lines? :roll:

Hopefully Internet2 will be popular in the next few years. The current Internet2 speed record is 7Gbps across network path more than 30,000km. Just need 4 sec to send entire dvd across the globe. :shakefist:

Should be an enjoyable weekend, since I just completed my powerpoint slides for next Thursday FYP presentation. Actually, I’m very nervous, but just try to pretend calm. I can’t predict whether my supervisor will backstab me during the presentation or not :graydead:. Thus, I mentally prepare for the worst case could happen on me.

However, I enjoying my Saturday reading an ebook call “Building Rearch Tools with Google for Dummies”. ( huh?! another “dummies” series book again ).

…By the way, a google is a variant of the term googol, the number 1 followed by 100 zeros (10 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000)…

100 zero. so ambitious.

A new upgrade after the 1st official released of msn 7.0.0777 few weeks ago. Can they make the msn consume less memory? I always have the problem of long loading moment for a new conversation dialog box to come out, usually need to wait around 3 to 10 sec then can actually start typing. :grayno:

Some bugfix in 0813:
- No more hanging at sign in with certain NATs;
- Enabled transfer for .jpg, .png, .mp3, etc.;
- Improved “What I’m Listening To” feature;
- Fixed error R6025 (”pure virtual function call”);
- Fixed the incorrect “Always Sign in As” status-bug;
- PhotoSwap no longer crashes at startup;
- Shutdown after blocking a contact no longer crashes;
- A default Wink has been removed (anyone have an idea of which one?);
- Audio Conversation invititations are now more reliable;
- Etc…

Get the 0813 update at the official MSN Messenger homepage.

“the singaporean association here in my school has become an indian association. so gross. and somemore non-singaporean. its just so repulsive…these ugly guys with dark skin n irksome features. ya. i discovered i’m so racist. at the club (under lighting in which everyone is supposed to look good), i still find indians and filipinos (dark ones) so repulsive n such a turn-off. anyway, so now we have this ugly mass as our president. n his indian counterpart who isn’t even singaporean is our senator. what is the world coming to? why are indians dominating the singaporeans here?
all these mang ka-li….gross gross. don’t come near me!”

“i think an issue which finally dawned on me is that my family is pretty impressive in some senses… like i told my di i realised it…n he was like “duh”. hahahaha. putting it in light of sociological analysis (ahem)…maybe i was justified to have not noticed it earlier. coz i have always been in like the “best”….since pri sch. thru RI, n HCJC. like it juz seemed “normal” that everyone was getting scholarships n everyone was smart. but i suppose to many others, this didn’t seem “normal.” den my bro got into GEP n got straight As for A levels etc…it just didn’t seem out of the ordinary for me. now i think about it, actually it is.
n the followup question is always : is ur sister stressed? i think somehow me n aaron came to e same ans…sadly to say, if u’re pretty far frm comparison u juz dun bother to compare. (like, does proton saga compare itself to a jaguar??) or there is juz little need to compare.
not saying proud or anything. juz a sociological observation.
ha…i love sociology!”

That’s the original blog post. That guy himself too ARROGANT!
I still think shouldn’t take down his blog. Readers should have their own rights to judge what is right and what is wrong, rather than let the authorities decide everything for us.

Reporters Without Borders today expressed support for a student from Singapore forced to shut down his blog on 26 April for fear of a libel action by the head of a government body and warned that “such intimidation could make the country’s blogs as timid and obedient as the traditional media.”

full story at Reporters Without Borders

Damn it! It’s stupid to stop ppl voices. Local media just don’t have any freedom, bad news all just covered up one. I more enjoy watching Taiwan news report, more actions more entertaining more dramatic.

I better don make any more comment on this. Later police come and knock my door. :graydead:.
