still have 1 more week to go for the deadline of design project. rush, rush, rush…

This afternoon, had a site visit @payah lebar kim chuan depot. The whole site is still under going construction for the new mrt circle line. So, for the design project, we were “forced” to go there and take a look around the site.

The reason professor want to take us there, not only wanna give us concept what are the actual things we are designing, but also wanna let us know how the miserably working life of an on-site civil engineer — working under sun, with the helmet and a pair heavy boots.

2.5 hrs of the visit make me tiring and sleepy. I don think I can stand whole day working on those constructing site.

Earning for living is never simple.

Norwegian programmer Jon Lech Johansen, who is known for his work with DeCSS and PlayFair, is continuing his efforts to un-cripple DRM crippled hardware and software.

Johansen has released a software called JustePort, which lets owners of Apple’s AirPort Express to stream MPEG4 Apple Lossless files to the device from any source — not just iTunes. Since iTunes is only available to Windows and Mac users, JustePort gives for instance Linux users the opportunity to take advantage of AirPort.

JustePort itself supports only MPEG4 Apple Lossless (.m4a) files as input, but since the RSA encryption key used is now available, it is easy to develop full-featured third-party streaming clients for AirPort.

Earlier this year Johansen developed PlayFair (now known as Hymn), which removed the DRM wrapping from songs sold at the iTunes Music Store. Last month he released FairKeys, which lets iTMS users to extract FairPlay keys from Apple’s servers. The keys are required to authenticate computers to play songs purchased from iTMS.

Just installed xp sp2, everything is great till now. The sp2 comes out some new features, more on the security sides, like firewall and pop up blocker for the IE.

So glad Microsoft finally allows users with pirated cd key also can install it. Maybe they realise, piracy couldn’t be stopped in that way!

There is no difference in the files that are downloaded between this version and the full network install, except that the network install will contain content that your computer probably will not use.

开学了，不想开也得开，人总是被迫做自己不想做的事。

都是那该死的design project !@#$%^& ，破坏了我整个假期酝酿起来的情绪。开学第一个月是用来适应整个学期的折磨，但没有人的第一个月开始就像我这样被折磨的吧。以往，都是闲里偷忙。现在，想忙里偷闲也不行，整组人等着我开饭的。只要稍不留神，自己怎么死的也不知道。

原来，design project 只是final year悲剧的开始而已。更难想象design project之后的final year project，又会是怎么一副惨样的。

Upset because he thought one of them had stolen his Xbox and some of his clothes, a Florida man rounded up three of his friends to help him exact revenge on the supposed perpetrator(s) by breaking into their house and beating them to death with baseball bats on Friday morning.
