ppl love to use nickname since there is internet. always changing different nicks in irc, in msn, in icq, in forum….

argh. but tat trouble me, since i always mixed up those nicknames. and took me quite a long time to link the nick and the actual person together.

this time i think i sent the design to wrong ppl. oops …1 week yet none of them inform me of tat.

haha.. here comes the Q&A section for the program, micro boss.

1. why use win + z and win + x?
becoz the 2 keys are quite near, can easily reach key combination together and wont let ur boss discover.

2. i don have win key, how?
either u don know where ur win key is or u really don have the key, for old win95.
the win key is in between the ctrl and alt key, with the windows icon on it.
for those who really don have win key, i just wrote a version wif shift + 1 and shift + 2. ( i know it’s really a weird combinations. but wat can u blame? i really forget those key codes )

3. can i hide other appications like winamp?
i dint include it inside this version, but i will make it more user friendly. so u can customize urself, wat program u really wanna hide.

4. when is the next version?
not soon. my timetable is really damn full until my final exam.

5. open source?
considering first. becoz now my code is quite messy, i din’t got time to arrange it nicely. i just grab some of my old written code and plug into it. besides, i notice someone selling the similar program for US15.. wah.. i really need to reconsider again

6. this program support any OS?
i only tested on xp.

did i miss out anything?..

The GUI Olympics 2004 begins today. The GUI Olympics is a Inter-website contest in which people compete for over $10,000 in cash and prizes. Anyone can enter as an individual or as part of a team.

There are 3 categories in this year’s contest:
1) Winamp 5 skins
2) Icon packages (using IconPackager)
3) Visual Styles (in WindowBlinds format)

The contest is sponsored by Nullsoft, Microsoft, Stardock, ATI, Eclipsit and nVidia as well as supported by Microsoft. All of which are providing prizes. The judges will be from Neowin, deviantART, Stardock, and Nullsoft and judging won’t begin until early April (over a month of now) giving plenty of time for people to start making their skins and themes. There are enough prizes that pretty much anyone who enters something is likely to win *something* even if it’s just a Microsoft T-shirt. Besides cold hard cash for winners, prizes include a Microsfot xBOX, ATI video cards, MicroAngelo icon software, Stardock Object Desktop, and more.

dint even notice there’s gui olumpics b4. no effort in designing… but the prizes quite attractive hor .

Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King has swept the Oscars by winning in all the 11 categories it was nominated in. It matched the record 11 Oscar wins of “Titanic” and “Ben-Hur” and became only the third movie to sweep every category in which it was nominated, following “Gigi” and “The Last Emperor,” which both went nine-for-nine.

Sean Penn took the best-actor prize as a vengeful father in “Mystic River,” and Charlize Theron won for best actress as serial killer Aileen Wuornos in “Monster.”

Oscars for supporting performances went to Tim Robbins as a man emotionally hamstrung by childhood trauma in “Mystic River” and Renee Zellweger as a hardy Confederate survivor in “Cold Mountain.”
