3年前，应该没有想过会有140字符的小说。140字符相等于在手机的一则简讯及Twitter的最大字符数目。在这个快速的时代中，大家都没有时间去阅读冗长的文章。本近来最畅销的书，反而是手机小说。
日前，CopyBlogger就揭晓针对这个现象举行了twitter140字符小说比赛的得奖名单。在331个参赛文章中，脱颖而出的是Ron Gould 的文章：
“Time travel works!” the note read. “However you can only travel to the past and one-way.” I recognized my own handwriting and felt a chill.
没想到这个“紧凑的科幻小说”让他赢取了8GB iPod Touch、100美金的iTunes礼券、SEO训练计划及BlogWorld2008通行证。感觉我们复古了，古人是因为竹简不方便携带所以才将文字进行简短，而我们是太忙了，结果也使用简短的文字表达出来。
次奖文章：

三奖文章：
When Gibson hit that homerun in the fall of eighty-eight, my old man had never been so happy. He hugged me for the first time. I was eleven.
